Yogic Thoughts

Being a yoga instructor, sometimes I think Iā€™m not thin enough or Iā€™m not strong or flexible enough because Iā€™m not yet able to get into some poses. But then I come back to my intention of yoga being an internal practice based on how you feel within your body. Connecting back to your breath and closing your eyes. When we close our eyes, we can notice how distracting or consuming it can be to tune only into our visual sense. When we release that sense, just for a moment, we find it much easier to tune into our other non-visual senses and go deeper within.

Yoga to me is about feeling your body from inside. Feeling your muscles stretch, noticing what feels good for you in that moment and what does not. Accepting wherever we are at, just for today. Not comparing or judging ourselves from our day to day, who we were years ago, or even who we were yesterday. Not comparing or judging ourselves to any other being. Every body is so different. Recognize that you are perfect the way you are because you simply just are. Being alive is a miracle of life, and you are a wondrous child of the universe.

I am human, sometimes I forget these peaceful thoughts, but teaching helps me to remember and brings me back into the present moment. Iā€™m really so grateful to be doing what I love and to share my passion with other!

Iā€™m so grateful for all that yoga helps me to remember ą«
